The 2010 movie GREENBERG starred Ben Stiller (Roger Greenberg)and Greta Gerwig (Florence Marr). Roger's brother and his familyleave their beautiful home in the Hollywood Hills to go on afamily vacation and Roger comes to town to take care of the houseand dog. He is told to call Florence (the brother's assistant) if hehas any quesitons while they are gone. Florence is an aspiring singerand performs at this lounge.  The movie is very depressing but theacting and the filming locations around LA are great.

This is the apartment building for the new Fox TV show NEW GIRLstarring Zoey Deschanel.  It is in the Arts District of LA.  I wasthere a few weeks ago to stalk Laura Holt's apartment froman old favorite tv show REMINGTON STEELE.  The building iscalled the Binford Building. HGTV has a new show called Kitchen Cousins.  Anthony Carrino andJohn Colaneri run a New Jersey based family construction companythat turns kitchens into masterpieces. The other night I was watchingan episode with Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air)as the homeowner.  He was having  his kitchen in North Hollywood re-done.I decided to check out the home for myself.  Unfortunately, I wasn'tinvited in to check out the kitchen, but judging from the show, the makeover was a huge success.

The Canyon County Market on Laurel Canyon recently showedup in the 2012 movie PEOPLE LIKE US.  Michael Hall D'Addarioportrayed Elizabeth Banks (Frankie's) son Josh in the movie.He was walking to the Laurel Canyon residence of Lillian (Michelle Pfeifffer)and the store showed up in the background.  According to Lindsay at Iamnotastalker.com,Jennifer Aniston also worked here before she became a star.I realized after we left that I only got a picture of my friend Melissaat the parkingl ot side of the store, so I downloaded the top photofrom the store website.

The Pizzeria Mozza in Newport Beach is partially owned by Mario Batali (the croc wearing Food Network chef). A coupleweeks ago to celebrate my friend Jean's birthday, I took her herefor lunch and I am happy to report the food was great.  Wedidn't have a reservation so we sat on the patio. Normally, Ilove sitting on the patio, but because the restaurant is so closeto Pacific Coast Highway, the street noise is very loud and distracting.Everyone was extremely polite and helpful and the food was great.We had the chopped salad (about 6" high), Pizza (the crust was the best)and ended our lunch with gelato.  This is someplace I definitely will go again.
