In the 1985 movie BACK TO THE FUTURE, Marty McFly...aka Michael J. Fox lived in this house with his family. The locationwas used a couple of times in the film - in the beginning when Martyreturned from school and in the end when Doc Brown returns from thefuture. The house is in Arleta (which I had never heard of before).I found this location thanks to movielocationsguide.com.
Last week, I watched 22 episodes of Season 1 of HOLLYWOODTREASURES. Its a reality show which follows Joe Maddalena and his team of appraisers as he tracks down and auctions off televisionand pop culture memorabilia. In the first episode, he hears thatone of the mechanical sharks used in the movie JAWS was on displayat a junk yard . While I was watching the show, I decided I had to see that shark for myself. So, while in the Burbank area, I headed northto the yard to see the shark. Obviously, since the shark is still there, the owner decided not to sell it. The shark is huge and it was fun tracking it down....even if I did have to see it through a chain fence. BTW, they decided after talking to the owner, that this shark was notin the movie, but it was a prop on the set of the Universal Studios tour.If you love Hollywood and pop culture, this show is a must see. Youcan watch it from Netflix. 
In Parenthood Season 3, the whole Braverman family stoppedat Cindy's for lunch in route to Zeek's mothers home on theepisode entitled ROAD TRIP. Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) hada nice chair in the back of his truck to give his mom for her birthday. Crosby (Dax Shepard) was suppose to be watchingout the window but lost interest and the chair was stolen.They used Cindy's real menu's in the show and that's how I tracked down the restaurant. I love Parenthood and ROAD TRIP was one of my favorite episodes. I am looking forward to Season 4......which started last night.
Remember in the 1980 movie 9-5, when the ladies thought Mr. Hartdrank coffee with rat poising instead of sugar? Well, he wastaken to this hospital. I really loved the movie. Dolly Parton.....Jane Fonda......Lilly Tomlin.....Dabney Coleman......a stellar cast!What's not to love about women living out their fantasy to geteven with a nasty boss!
